Add the yogurt to a bowl and then layer slices of peaches, plums, oranges, nectarines or apple. Add a few nuts if you have them and perhaps some muesli. Drizzle with honey, eat and enjoy.
This dish has lots of protein and tons of fiber.
- Egg salad
Boil two eggs. Get yourself some dark leafy greens and perhaps a tin of tuna in brine or water. Add a few small baby potatoes, chives, tomatoes, carrots and the egg, a bit of mayonnaise and you’re all set.
This gives you everything – fiber, protein, vitamins, nutrients and tons and tons of energy. If you want to be really good, replace the mayo with Greek yoghurt.

- Broccoli and feta omelet
Steam a little broccoli. Crack three eggs, mix with a bit of milk and butter and pour into an omelet pan. If you don’t have a special pan, it is okay, use an ordinary pan for frying eggs. Pour in your egg mixture, add the steamed and drained broccoli to the centre, crumble some feta over, a bit of salt, and make your omelet.
High in protein, energy, Vitamin C and rather delicious to eat. Substantial too. With an omelet you can be creative and add mushrooms, tomato, onions and anything you wish actually. Serve with rye or wholewheat toast.
- Bananas dipped in chocolate
This is so ridiculously simple and will also help your sweet tooth or any sugar cravings. Slice a banana in half and roll it in some melted dark chocolate. Place in the freezer until hard, and then eat. You can do this with strawberries too and it makes an ideal snack. Try with grapes as well, peaches or plums!
- Avocado cups
Avocado is really good for you and will keep you going all day, plus give you the fiber, nutrients, vitamins and minerals that you need. Peel the avocado and take out the pip. Mix in some salt and pepper and mash it well. You now have guacamole. You can eat it alone or with a few dry crisp breads, carrots, tomatoes or even low fat or wheat free tortillas. Avocado toast is the best. If you don’t want anything carb, then put a bit of avocado in a slice of lettuce, wrap it around into a parcel and eat. This is slightly Vietnamese and excellent.
- Ham, pear and spinach sandwich
Buy some fabulous and organic ham, pick some spinach from your garden and peel a pear. Take some wholewheat bread, add a bit of mustard or mayo and then layer the ham, pear and spinach. Try whole grain mustard for that excellent crunch. Choose your bread, you can also use rye or brown bread.
Note that if you do not want to eat the bread, make it into a salad. Add lettuce, cucumber, carrots, tomatoes and fresh raw mushrooms for extra deliciousness.
